TEST LOCALLY BEFORE GOING OFFSHORE..?

For some businesses, gaining access to non-English speaking markets can be daunting. Potential partners will be looking for insights into why they should consider you and your business. They want to learn more about you personally, what makes your product unique, and what makes you special overall.

If you are trying to access a market like Japan, China, South Korea, etc, how can you prove that you are ‘fit for purpose’ when you don’t have a track record there…?

One way to validate your offering is to trial your product with ex-pat populations living in your home country. Create web content & social media promotions in the target language, and invite people to give their feedback on your product. This may involve you sending them a sample of your product, with a feedback form to complete, and/or some other incentive.

You can then compile the feedback to show your potential distribution partner as part of your overall pitch.
